Village of Sassyburg
Sassyburg is a suburb of Annenell, located on the northern edge of that City. Sassyburg has a flag stop station and is home of the Hercules Trouser Factory ["You Can't Wear'em Out and You Can't Blow'em Out!"]. The Aronson Annex and Warehouse is here along with a small shopping district. The Ida L. Morgan Building, named for the Grandmother of the Stonefield Valley Railroad General Superintendent and Great Grandmother of Professor William M. Andrews.
Of particular note is Scrimgers, the local Saloon. This establishment is owned by Vicki and James E. Scrimger (Scrimger and Associates of Rancho Palos Verdes Estates, California and currently managed by Billy-Ray-Lee-Big-Jim-Bob (aka Bubba Porko). Keeping the General Superintendent company, James E. Scrimger was employed at Northrop Corporation in Hawthorne, California in a job so secret he was never allowed to know what it was. Earlier in his career, Jim was an Ensign in the United States Navy. During his Naval career he both arranged and orchestrated the now famous "North Beach Follies" caper while his ship, USS Morton link, was in port in San Francisco. USS Morton was named after Cdr Dudley Morton link, submarine USS Wahoo skipper, lost during WW II.

Note the Aronson Annex warehouse and receiving facility behind | Scrimger's is a famous watering hole in Sassyburg. Jim Scrimger is an old friend from Northrop Aircraft. As Ensign, USNR, Jim produced the "North Beach Capers" in San Francisco aboard USS Morton link. He was famous throughout the Navy! |
A side view of Scrimgers. Note the activity at the rear | The Sassyburg Hot Rod Club meets to wash cars | The back of Scrimgers looking south |
The Polar Bear Cafe provides goodies for the Sassyburg folks. On the right, note Molly Hoopnoodle serving some suds to her friend | Aronson Steel Fabricators receives steel ships at the unloading facility immediately south of the main building. They also ship out scrap from here | Aronson is Sassyburg's largest employer. It does not produce steel but rather steel products and ships all over the Country |
The north end of the main Aronson Building | Here's the Sassyburg Church. Of all coincidences ... the pastor is Ken Crain. The cemetery is to the right | We're having a funeral at the Sassyburg Cemetery. It looks like the guy in the box wants out! |
Here's an overview of Sassyburg looking west | IGA is the local grocery. Note the SVRR truck | Looks like a possible confrontation at the IGA. At least the prices are good |
