DECATUR - Mary Ann Gerhard, 69, of Decatur, died Friday, December 18, 2009 in St. Clare Health Center, Fenton, MO. Mary Ann was born in Decatur, on July 26, 1940 the daughter of Martin and Lucille (Roarick) Lorenz. A member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Mary Ann worked as teacher's aid and child care director for the LSA. She was an avid Cubs fan who loved to read, work on her computer and do needle work. She married Ronald L. Gerhard November 8, 1959 in Decatur. Surviving is her husband, Ron of Decatur; children: Michelle (Jim) Glass of St. Louis, MO, Scott (T.J.) Gerhard of Cincinnati, OH, and Clayton (Andrea) Gerhard of Decatur; grandchildren: Casey Gerhard, Jack Gerhard and Ainsley Gerhard; brother, Dave (Barb) Lorenz of Reno, NV; niece, Kristen Lorenz and nephew, Brian Lorenz. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 pm, Monday, December 21, 2009 in the Moran & Goebel Funeral Home. Funeral service: 11 am, Tuesday, December 22, 2009 at St. Paul's Lutheran Church with burial to follow in Boiling Springs Cemetery. Memorials: St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Lutheran School Association, or Bethesda Health Group Foundation. Mary Ann was preceded in death by her parents.
